UNION TOGOLAISE DE BANQUE

The Togolese Bank Union (UTB) is one of the key institutions of the Togolese banking system. It actively participates in the financing of the national economy as a universal bank.

Created in June 1964 as a semi-public company, the UTB is today an institution in which the State is the sole shareholder after the departure, in June 1994, of Crédit Lyonnais , Deutsche Bank and the Banca Commercial Italiana , respectively held 35%, 18% and 12% of the shares.

This departure was a result of the persistence of the socio-political crisis of the early 1990s.

The UTB, which is now  50 years old  , has 46 points of sale in the five economic regions of the country.

The registered capital is 10 billion FCFA.
